Bamboula Seeks A New Drummer

From Bamboula's Myspace:

"Bamboula is looking for a new drummer in the LA area for gigging, touring, recording & creative input.

Our original drummer Seanzi was an important & integral part of the band, so we're looking for more than just a drummer. We're looking for a new bandmate, a new brother & someone who can help us take our music to a new level. We need someone talented, creative, passionate & versatile. An open mind & a good sense of humor doesn't hurt either.

For those of you that aren't familiar with us, we play an intense & aggressive mix of classic psychobilly & classic punk with strong elements of everything from garage to jazz to ska to metal to just about anything else.
Influences are too broad to list & are ever evolving but include bands ranging from Batmobile - Dead Kennedys - Benny Goodman - Oingo Boingo - Iron Maiden.
We're trying to do something a little different, so you have to hear it to really know.

We are an experienced band with an album out on Kaiser Records & live to play music. We play as often as possible in & out of California.

Stylistically we're looking for Buddy Rich meets Rat Scabies meets Josh Freese.
We need someone who can play swing/jazz/voodoo-rhythm at punk speeds with intensity & aggression then switch to a technical rhythm figure or tight groove within the same song.

A good feel & energy is key.

Good stage presence & any kind of vocal ability are huge pluses.
Previous band experience is preferred.
Double Kick ability is not required but also a big plus.

Must be willing/able to gig regularly, tour as often as possible (domestically & internationally), record, learn past material, contribute creatively to new material, practice at least a couple days a week in the Los Angeles, Hollywood or Santa Clarita area, have/get a passport, play at an advanced – professional level & have as much fun as possible in the process.

If you are interested or know someone who might be, please message us or email us: bamboulabilly@yahoo.com

We will miss Sean & continue to play with the amazing Rick Stojak of the Barnyard Ballers on drums until a permanent replacement is found."
